FaceBook Lesson: Making Friends On FaceBook In a Few Easy Steps
The Find Friend Option
Once you are logged in, look at the top of the site and find “Friends” and look for the drop down arrow besides it. Click that arrow and choose “find friends”.
You will now see a screen that allows you to enter an emails address that is common for most people to have like “Hot-mail”, “Yahoo”, “Gmail”, etc. Enter your email name choose the email service and enter your password. Don’t worry, this is safe and you in an SSL protected page. Click Find Your Friends.
Now, this is a great feature because now you can login to your accounts and it will pull your address book into facebook so you can choose friends that you want to invite. It doesn’t matter if your address book friends are on facebook or not, if they are your friends they will create an account.
The Invite Friend option
Again, click on the drop arrow near “friends” and choose “Invite Friends”. Here you can put in email address of your friends and send it with a message. Make sure to include why you want them to join Facebook and become a friend on your network.
Search For Friends Option
Under the facebook logo is a search option on the left side. Here you can search for people you know and see if you can find their profile on facebook. If you do find them, invite them as a friend. If you are not sure you found the right person, ask them anyway as it can’t hurt to build up your friends network.
Search Your Friends Friends Option
At the top of the screen click on the words “Friends”, Then click on your friends name or picture. You will now be viewing your friends profile and seeing their list of friends. Go through and invite your Friends friends.
Make sure to be polite and send a message saying that you are a friend of the persons profiles you are viewing and that you would like to expand your network of friends by adding them as well.
You will see some features on your friends profile that says “See All” or “View All”. click on that and then you will see a photo, name and to the very far right a small box that is almost transparent. Click that to get the options to add as friend.
Add High School or College Friends Option
Click on the drop arrow again where it says “Friends”. Then below towards the bottom find “More Ways to Find Friends” and click that option. Follow the prompts from there and you can be well on your way to a large network of friends.
Organize Your Time:
This can become very time consuming. So make a point to figure out the time of day and how many minutes you will spend making new friends. If you are very busy, try spending about 10 minutes a day doing this and keep a log of what you did during that time.
Some Outward Thinking
There are of course more ways to find friends, the more you play around with this the more you find out. Once you have built a large network of friends the options are endless from here. I just want to point out some outward thinking for Facebook. There are many other social networking sites, but if you focus on too many at one time the effect is slower and increasing traffic, business, social life and friends becomes something of a waste of time and it can really eat your whole day away playing with all these.
Now, picture this. You spend about 10 minutes of your day adding friends, you decide you want to send everyone an email message and then you realize you can with a simple click of a few buttons. Yes, you can send a mass message to all your friends telling them what is going in your life, what your new business ventures are, what kind of help you are looking for and you will be shocked by the response that come in to you.
Make sure to do more then just spend time selling your business. Actually take time to make friends, send fun messages and even join in some of Facebooks’ fun and games. We will get into that later on.
Conclusion on Making Friends
It is important to know that you can make many friends and can spend all day long every day doing this, because the more friends you make, the more you dig into their friends… well I think you get the point. So stay focused here, Don’t try and reach for the big goals yet. Pace your self, make some friends and then go into lesson 2.
